Man Arrested While Trying To Smuggle Cocaine In A Pair Of Fake Buttocks (Photo)
A man was arrested at Lisbon Airport in Portugal after he was caught attempting to carry a kilo of cocaine off a plane in a pair of fake buttocks.
The 32-year-old man had arrived on a flight from Belém do Pará, in northern Brazil. He had attempted to smuggle the drugs into the country by hiding them in the fake bum cheeks sewn inside ‘padded P@nts’ in his swimming shorts.
A second man, 40, was later arrested at Lisbon’s main train station, suspected of being the recipient of the drug.
Unknown to them, the men were being investigated by the National Anti-Narcotics Trafficking Unit and now face charges of drug trafficking.
The amount seized would have been enough to make 5,000 individual doses of cocaine, police said.
It follows another creative smuggling attempt uncovered by Spanish and Portuguese police last month.
Officer found 745 kilos of coke hidden inside fake pineapples at a Lisbon port.
The drugs were concealed in yellow wax beneath genuine fresh pineapple skins that had been transported from South America.

Fulani Herdsmen Set Ablaze 100 Acres Of Mangoes, Pineapple Plantation In Osun
Over 100 acres of ripe mangoes and pineapple plantations have been set ablaze in Esa Oke of Obokun East Local Council Development Area (LCDA) of Osun State.
Some of the farmers who spoke to our correspondent said they have lost millions of naira due to the destruction of economic crops, occasioned by the incessant invasion of their farmlands by nomadic herders.
They subsequently called on the state government under the leadership of Governor Rauf Aregbesola that leased the farmlands to them at Esa Oke Farm Settlement to come to their rescue in checkmating the destruction of their crops, which they claimed serve as their sources of livelihood.
One of the farmers affected in Esa Oke Farm Settlement, Mr Sola Obembe, said: “On the 26th of January, our farms were set ablaze by herdsmen and over 100 acres of farmland was damaged with an economic value of hundreds of millions.
“It is not only me that was affected, there are several farms located in Esa Oke Farm Settlement. My allotment there is five acres.
“This is a threat to Yoruba economy and enough is enough.”
Obembe said there was a critical need for the government and relevant security agencies to explore pro-active measures in putting an end to the worrisome activities Fulani herdsmen.
According to him, “Also in Ikoyi town, we had a trial farm of tomato and cucumber of about 200 plants which was also set ablaze. The fire started around 5.30 pm and spread quickly as we have plastic mulch and drop lines all over. Fortunately, some of our farms’ workers who live close were still around and they tackled the blaze.”
“Our issue now is clearing, and fixing our irrigation infrastructure. On another note, we know they harvest our cucumbers to feed their cattle, but that is a different story,” Obembe lamented.
Another farmer in Esa Oke Farm Settlement, identified as Mrs Jeje told our correspondent that her allotted farmland of about five acres, where she planted plantain and cassava was destroyed by Fulani herdsmen last week.
She alleged that the herders grazed their cattle on the farm and harvested some ripe cassava tubers and bunch of plantain to feed their cows, saying she had lost millions of naira to the development.
When contacted over the incident, Osun State Commissioner for Special Duties, who also doubles as the chairman of Peaceful Co-Existence of Fulani Bororo and Farmers in the state, Mr Oguntola Mudsiru Toogun, confirmed the development but said about 29 farmers affected by destruction farmland at Esa Oke had been paid compensation by Fulani herders.
He said the government was taking proactive measure to foster peace and harmony among Fulani herdsmen and farmers in the state, assuring that efforts were ongoing to sustain peace and avert any clash between farmers and herders. (Nigerian Tribune)

“For emphasis, 2018 UTME registration now closes at midnight of Sunday, 11th February, 2018.”

Soldiers Kill Vigilante Member, Free Killer Herdsman In Edo State (See How It Happened)
A members of a local vigilante group in Obadolovbiyeyi community in the Ikpoba- Okha Local Government Area of Edo State, Efe Igbnovia, has been allegedly shot dead by some soldiers.
According to a Punch report, a local vigilance group had in the early hours of Wednesday arrested some suspected herdsmen for alleged armed robbery on the Benin-Abraka Expressway.
Igbinovia was said to have been asked to watch over the suspects while his colleagues conducted a search for the fleeing members of the gang.
According to the report, a group of soldiers stormed the area and fired continuously.
The newspaper reports that the military men, who were said to have arrived in the community in a Honda with the number plate, AP 641 KTN, shot Igbinovia dead and freed the suspects.
Some angry youths reportedly blocked the path of a commercial bus conveying two of the herdsmen earlier arrested to the Benin Central Hospital for medical treatment before the intervention of personnel of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps.
One of the angry youths who gave his name as Henry Osemwengie, told the newspaper that the vigilante group had earlier arrested six herdsmen for robbery and took them to the Ogbekun Police Station.
Osemwengie said, “Two other herdsmen, suspected to be members of the gang, were later caught. Igbinovia was asked to stay with them.
“Before then, the police had been called to come to pick them (herdsmen) because that is what we usually do. Suddenly, a red Honda car with about four men in military uniforms and armed with AK – 47 rifles came and started shooting.
“Igbinovia shouted that he had been hit. By the time the other vigilantes returned, he was already down. The soldiers killed him and went away with the two robbers. Robbers, most of whom are Fulanis, usually operate there. They keep their cows by the roadside, block the road and start robbing.”
The Commissioner of Police, Johnson Kokumo, confirmed the incident to Punch.
Kokumo said, “The herdsmen were alleged to have blocked the expressway. Two of them (suspects ) are with the police undergoing interrogation.”
On the alleged killing of the vigilante by the military men, Kokumo said, “It is an allegation we are investigating. Actually, one of the vigilance members died in the course of duty.”
Also, the spokesperson for the 4 Brigade Command of the Nigerian Army, Capt. Mohammed Maidawa, told the newspaper that Igbinovia was shot after he was mistaken for a robber by military troops deployed in the area.
Maidawa said, “Troops deployed in Ologbo for pipeline protection received information of a suspected armed robbery close to their location. They were mobilised to the scene and engaged armed men at the scene.
“Unfortunately, one person, who was later identified as a vigilante was killed. Preliminary investigation revealed that the vigilance group also responded to a distress call on the robbery. It was a case of mistaken identity. We are going to get in touch with the bereaved family.”
